Farewell Bobby

This was my first year being a Braves fan and who knows if I'll be one next year or not... no, I'm not fair-weather I just follow a friend who plays in the ML. But I have to say, rookie fan or not, I got pretty emotional during Bobby Cox's press conference after the game.

He's a pretty cute old man I think! That's just my personal opinion. And I loved to see him get all fired up on a bad call. Old men are notorious for being grumpy so every time I saw him get on an umpire it kind of reminded me of my Papa D'Itri. There are some strange similarities there so maybe that's another reason he warmed up to me pretty quick this year!

Anyways, congrats on a wonderful career Mr. Cox. Apparently you've been a pretty big deal. Mad respect.

My apologies...

I know it seems as though I'm a horrible blogger because I seldomly update but you have to excuse me. I promise I've had good reasons. I managed to plan a wedding, house hunt in Florida, move to Florida and get married (in Georgia) all within a way too short period of time. AND didn't loose my cool, pull my hair out or bite my nails off!

So now seeing as I'm a married woman now living with my hubby in Dade City, FL a long way from the fantastic distractions of the Atlanta lifestyle I think it's going to be a lot easier to blog.

As I said, we did move. Left the countryside of Newnan and traded it for the countryside of Dade City. I must say, it was a pretty good trade. Although I miss all of our land, being able to see MB ride on the tracks just through the living room window and all the privacy... being on a super nice golf course in a smaller more manageable home isn't to shabby!

Goodbye Newnan...

Hello Dade City...
More pics to come! And if anyone's interested the Newnan house it is still for sale!! We're going to miss that house so much. It was pretty badass.

Back at it...

How random are my posts? I know...

Well 3rd attempt to be a blogger, here we go.

Hello from Down Under!

I arrived November 6th after probably the most horrific flight experience of my life. Flying fourteen hours over the ocean with nonstop turbulence is not something I recommend, not to mention the fantastic last row room isle seat in coach class. Frickin awesome.

Other than that though I've pretty much enjoyed myself so far.

Michael finished his race in Canberra in 4th... which is good. Although last night racing in Sydney (Parramatta) was not to exciting. Left the stadium with a sore back and jammed toes to say the least.

Now we're just relaxing at the beach, Michael's doing some therapy and we're about to order some Thai takeout! Yum!

Well chat later... XOXO

Wedding Frustration

I wish I could say the wedding was coming together perfectly.

Everything besides having a date set is perfect... including the dress I just bought on Saturday! YIPPEE it's my dream dress! And to my surprise, I actually did have the cheesy bride moment when I teared up in front of the mirror when the consultant put my veil on. ITS THAT GOOD. But I'm slowly realizing that it's pretty much impossible to plan a wedding around a date-less day. We're hoping for September 10, 2010 but until Michael's new motocross schedule is released and we know he'll be racing in the US next year everything is pretty much up in the air. So until then, I'm working out all the small details so when it's go time I'll be ready to start making my visions a reality.

Here's some photos is the latest Elegant Bride magazine that fits what I've been thinking for color scheme and flowers to a tee.

Unfortunately... my mom wasn't as excited for the black and white table cloth as I was... and they say choose your battles... so I had to forfeit immediately.

Calligraphy for my invitations - check. Yellow (my favorite color) rose bouquet - check.

I can't wait for our special day.
